In January 2025, Brian DiPippa, 37, was sentenced to five years in prison for injuring a University of Pittsburgh police officer with a homemade explosive during an April 2023 protest concerning transgender rights. His wife, Krystal Martinez-DiPippa, 42, received three years of probation as part of a plea agreement.
